Busy weekend recently with the Jeep and the bus. Saw a huge spot of dead grass right beneath the bus radiator so it had to come out for a rebuild. Hopefully it can be cleaned up and re-cored before Camp Heep!

Hiding in there along with a trans cooler and a louvre system for heat in the winter. Pulled some hoses, drained what was left of the coolant, drained a lot of cooler oil, and removed the hoses and lines. A few nuts and bolts later we lifted in out...by hand. Heavy SOB!

Aaaaaand there's our problem...

Cross your fingers for a swift turnaround on the re-core...hopefully I'll have some $$$ left over for diesel.

Thanks. Really it's going to come down to the shop turning it around quickly....which should really take less than a week, and us having the coin to cover it.  Cheers

Bad news, radiator is still out and in a state of complete disrepair on this thing. Radiator shop won't touch it in the beat-up condition it's in. Honestly it's phenomenal it's lasted this long long...I'm sure it helped that the few times we've taken it on long journeys were during the winter months.

Anyways, been putting in a lot of Jeep work this week and haven't had the $800+ it's going to take to replace the radiator. It'll get done, but not between now and Camp Heep. Shame!

Positive news is that a replacement radiator is actually on Amazon. Doesn't qualify for prime and still very expensive, but at least it'll be relatively simple to source once we pick one up.
