Will the hatred be spread evenly across all of the new JL powertrains or more heavily on certain ones?  Great post!

I'm gonna hate whatever rendition has the rear Dana 35.

I’m just glad they don’t have square headlights!!!!

On a odd note, I kinda feel that the "real" Jeep went away when they changed the roll bar after the YJ years to the "family" styling.  To me, that lost some of the classic Jeep appeal.  I know, it's a nit picking thing, but love the look.

But, up through the TJs are what I consider a real Jeep.  It's what made Jeep a Jeep.  The short body the schweet looks.  Heck, it was a Jeep.  Then they came out with the Unlimited.  Was not a fan of the extended cargo area.  Looks so off.

Then the BIG change....the four door.  The baby hummer wanna a be.  Yeah, carries the Jeep name but not the Jeep look.  And yes, the four door is probably what actually saved the Jeep as most people wanted a more family friendly version.

I don't knock them either way.  Its a choice.

But hey....we do love our Jeeps!

Different strokes for sure. I personally love the longer wheelbase of the LJ. Reminds of a certain older Jeep model. Hmmm, I wonder which one.  Wink

The JKU is basically the spiritual successor to the XJ, just with the added bonus of being a convertible!
