So I buy the Jeep...love the Jeep. Confirm that the dealership did upgrade wheels tires lift skid plates and rock rails......but did not upgrade spare mount.  What would you good folks recommend upgrade to a better tub system or go bumper/mount?

Several guys (self included) run the Teraflex hinge and carrier and have no complaints. They also make the OEM heavy duty carrier option for Wranglers.

Heavily recommend this as well. Beautiful seamless addition. Easy to add other stuff on to carry like rotopax or highlifts. Seriously strong and you don't have to open two latches to get into your rear hatch

I got the TeraFlex HD hinge mentioned above i was very surprised at how sturdy and smooth it is glad i went with it.  My setup is easily over 100lbs and it opens easier than stock

The biggest thing to ask yourself is how often will you be opening the tailgate and do you want it to be a two step process.

I'm always opening the tailgate for my dog so I went with https://www.quadratec.com/products/12052_0010_07.htm.

Put a Smittybilt  gen 2 carrier on my JK. takes the weight off the tailgate and transfers all to the frame. Solid  design without having to buy a bumper too.

Cheers

I installed the Maximus-3 modular tire carrier and love it.
