After 1000-1500 miles of driving, drained and refilled the trans oil again. Thankfully saw far, far less material on the drain plug this time around. Going to run with this Pennzoil Syncromesh for another couple thousand miles then go what will hopefully be the last drain/fill for a while with something nicer...Amsoil or Redline or the like. After the drain it drives better, I guess?

Started soaking down the rear axleís surface rust in preparation for an upcoming swap. 4.10ís here I come!

Dana 35 is nearly out. Picked at it here and there throughout the day yesterday and disconnected most everything, but need to 1) fish e-brake cables out of the body-side mounting bracket and 2) break the axle-side track bar free. Fingers crossed that my precious T55 holds up.

Thanks to a second set of hands and eyes from my man Sarkis, my front axle is in and the TJ is officially sitting on 4.10's.  Prior to a test drive tomorrow, hoping to bleed the brakes, grease the front end, re-torque the wheels, and spot check everything once more front and rear.

Should be in good shape. Stepped up to ZJ steering as well.

Nice!  Moving right along.  You will love and notice the gear difference.

Not a problem man, I'm glad we got that thing all worked out.  Can't wait to hear how the test drive goes.

Everything is buttoned up, Jeep runs better than ever. There is an ever-so-tiny hint of death wobble trying to sneak through, but I think a 4-wheel balance should help correct a lot of it. Thatís something Iíve been putting off for ages until all these other steps were out of the way.

So either my Jeep is as fast as my friendís Acura, or I need a new speedo gear. Iím thinking the latter. Given that Iím on ~30Ē tires and now with 4.10 gears...38 tooth speedo gear? Or should I go ahead and grab a 36 or 37 in anticipation of a slightly larger tire in the near future?

Lots of JK 32" takeoffs out there... Go for 36 teeth

Point taken.

So on another note, this was noticed as the front end was going back together--my front bumpstops appear to be pretty close to the spring buckets.  Is this normal?  It was a few posts ago, but these bumpstops look to be nearly the same size as the OEM parts with a slightly different shape so I don't think their size is the issue.  The springs were swapped out along with my axles and are relatively low mileage used, not the sagging OEMs that were sitting around for years.  Maybe this is just the way they're supposed to be?

My wonderful wife bought me the back half of the Bedrug kit for my birthday. Installed yesterday and thrilled with the results. Interior looks like a whole new Jeep!  What a fantastic product.

Bedrug looks fantastic!!  As for the bump stop, donít worry about the distance to the rubber. That will compress to the cup. The cup is what matters. I have the bumpers and they are a bit longer than stock. I think you are good.
