With the express permission of members of the BOD to post here and in coordination with PATC (via volunteer.gov), Iíve negotiated an opportunity to demonstrate a solidarity between hikers and wheelers (both of whom have a deep appreciation of the outdoors) to perform maintenance along a 2 mile stretch of unmaintained fireroad leading up the Blackburn Trail Center in Round Hill, VA. All nestled up against the Appalachian Trail.

- What: Clearing of fallen and collected natural debris.
- Why: Preventative maintenance to reduce risk of serious erosion to the integrity of the road surface and surrounding mountainside.
- Where: 34899 Appalachian Trail Rd, Round Hill, VA 20141
- Who: YOU! All skillsets are welcome!
- Details: Tools will be provided for us but feel free to bring a favorite one if you want. Don't forget to bring food and water, maybe a first-aid kit. Please dress appropriately! We won't be at the beach, we'll be in the woods on a road just like what we wheel on.

Rally Point: Costco in Leesburg
When: June 3
Time: 7:45 AM
Departure: 8:05 AM (sharp)

A quick safety briefing at 8:00 AM and then we're off. Travel duration is 40 minutes.

Please be punctual, fed, and stocked with food, water, and with fuel tanks filled.

Food ideas: Big o' pot of spaghetti, salad, cooler of drinks.

Be considerate and talk with me before cross-posting this event to other groups. Best contact is via fb. Same name as here or just push a note through Danille.

I live in round hill Jeep Wave

Marking my calendar, but my getting up there will depend upon any number of things including fixing the pile. Thumbs Up
