Hey folks, the last time I posted was probably more optimistic than this.. I have a CJ8 Scrambler that has been completely disassembled. Frame is in my shop with nothing attached.. it's broken down all the way.  I am looking to relocate and most likely I will not be able to bring this project with me.

I'm curious if any of you have thoughts on how to best offload this project to those who can use the parts or possibly the whole thing. Don't get me wrong though.. if I end up find a place with a shop I'm throwing this sucker on a flat bed and taking it with me. The whole reason I bought it was to try and save another Scrambler and it sucks to know I'm tracking to do the opposite. I'm going to take a big loss on this no matter what I do, already accepted that. I do have a clean title if that helps!

Let me know if you have any (serious) thoughts.

What is your time frame?  Without a good amount of time, parting it out may not be feasible.

I know a guy in Stafford that does this sort of thing all of the time. Let me know if you would like to talk to him.

Also, feel free to let me know what parts you have. I might be interested in some for my Scrambler.

I'm premature in asking, but I could use a factory emergency brake mechanism if you end up parting it.

If not, I may still have mine. I will look around.

Where you located and what's the condition? Depending on the price I might be interested in it

I'm in Warrenton, not in a rush. The Jeep is completely disassembled. Frame needs repair, body needs repair, engine (2.4) should probably be replaced and is fully disassembled, transmission works!

Not the best upsell Smile

What year is the Scrambler?  Did I miss that?  Looks like wide track axles. Any info on those?  4:1 gears?

84 or 85, not sure about the axles, they turn Smile

I can crack into them or pull any info they'd have stamped if it helps.

There should be a stamped letter or something on the rear axle near the circular indentation on the right side of the axle just past the diff cover. If you could show that, I would appreciate it. Being a 4cyl CJ, it should have 4:10 gears, but just wondering if they are.

Here's diffs and tires, will have to clean off the axle to see that stamp as soon as I have a sec.

I don't think it will sell all together, want to come inspect the damage some time?

I'm going to move over to the classifieds to post individual items. Thanks all. If you know anybody who could use parts send them my way!
