Iím backÖ after a brief hiatus, I picked up my 2019 Hella Yella JLUR on Sunday.  Factory ordered and delivered to the dealership in 39 days.  Originally, was going to order Punkíd to keep with the Orange, but changed my mind when I arrived at the dealership to place my order.

Previous 2013 JKU

Lots of lessons learned from building my JKU, but most importantly learning to do things right the first time.  Hereís the current items that are going to be installed in the coming weeks:

37x12.50x17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
17x9 Method 312

Metalcloak Skids
Metalcloak FAD Skid
Rock Hard 4x4 Sliders
Motobilt Diff Covers

Stock piling parts since Black Friday

Drove the JLUR home from the dealer and started the install of the Rock Hard 4x4 sliders.  Was really worried about snapping the two front body mount bolts, but thankfully heating up those bolts with a torch definitely made pulling the bolts a lot easier.  The other body mount bolts took no effort with a breaker bar.

Welcome back. I am surprised you had to heat up the bolts on a brand spanking new Jeep. Love the color!

Thanks, unfortunately the front two body mount bolts have red loctite on them.  There are instances of the bolts snapping on people while trying to remove them.

Ah. So they want new JL owners to empathize with us CJ owners. Nice of them. 😜

I've been trying to decide on a lift kit and have been chatting with Travis at RK. He recommended the Adventure 2.5 lift and RK shocks. I'm definitely interested in other ideas. What made you go with the X-Factor and Falcons? Where's the best deal?

Reach out to Marcus at River City Offroad or Northridge4x4.  I got great deals over black friday and christmas.

I got the Falcons because of the positive reviews and the performance.  Also went with the xfactor due to being able to adjust the caster and pinion angles.  The deals that RCO was running made more sense to buy the complete kit than to piece it together in the future.

So with the JKs they used blue locktite on the body bolts at the factory and people were reportedly snapping them. Now with the JLs they stepped it up to red locktite which increases the chance of breakage? Brilliant FCA...

BTW welcome back to Jeep ownership! Nice ride in a sweet color.
