Brand new member here...or almost a member I should say.  Just submitted my application and dues, and hope to meet folks at mustang Sally’s this weekend.  Stock JLUR, have run Peters Mill a few times, but otherwise a greenhorn and hoping to gain some experience.  Would love to join this ride at Rausch Creek.
Cheers

Like Rob said, you'll have a blast!  I added you to the list!  Looking forward to meeting you Sunday.  Be sure to introduce yourself.  Thanks!

Thanks guys!  And thanks for adding me to the list!  I’ll be sure to say hello on Sunday!

Would an xj with 2.5” lift and 235/75/r15 BFG KO2s be ok for the green/blue group? Have front and rear recovery points and kinetic strap.

Who wants to go wheeling at Rausch Creek in March?  If you're interested, let us know what dates you're free.  I'm thinking Saturday March 23rd.  Who wants to join me?!   Jeep Wave

So far we have:

7. sjalkian

9. mikestatic
10. Ryan from RI
11. gravitywell
12. BoxerCorps
13. Brittney
14. Khan
15. Bill from PA
16. 01somws6
17. Scubalitt
18. VAJK456
19. Bocephus
20. HeyYouThisIsMe

Waitlist:
1. unleashd
2.
3.
4.
5.

I'll be leaving Falls Church around 2PM on the 22nd.  I'll be "camping" at the Hampton Inn in Pine Grove Friday night.  I should be there by 5PM.  It's the nicest hotel in the area.  Comfort Inn isn't bad though.  After checking in we'll be heading to O'Neals Pub for some beers and their awesome wings!  If you'll be there Friday night and want to join us at O'Neals, let us know.  If you PM me I can provide you with my cell number.

Let's meet in the Rausch Parking lot around 7:30AM Saturday morning.  Most of you will need to manually disconnect and all of us will need to air down.  Bring whatever you need to air down and disconnect if you have it (tools, tire pressure gauge, deflators, etc).  You'll also want some heavy duty/thick wire ties to hold your swaybar links up while disconnected.  Harbor Freight sells some that are perfect.  I have about 4 sets people can use.  If you do not have what's needed no worries, we will have what's needed for you to borrow.  But we want to avoid waiting a long time for everyone to disconnect using one set of tools etc.  We all will need to check in at the office which opens at 8AM.

Required equipment for this trail ride includes:
Tow points front and rear
A 4WD vehicle in good working order (with a full tank of gas)
Full size spare tire and whatever you need to change it on the trail (jack, lug wrench, wheel lock key, etc.)
Bring your lunch and drinks.  We will all eat lunch together.

Recommended equipment includes:
CB Radio (it is nice to have but not necessary)
Recovery equipment
A blanket or towel to sit on while disconnecting
Whatever you need to air down
Heavy duty zip ties
Hand tools

We will have two groups, a green/blue group that I will lead and a hard blue/black/red group Bill will lead.  While in the parking lot we will have a quick driver's meeting and will form the two groups.

Even if you're in my green/blue group, those with the stock rigs can expect to "hit" or "drag" the underside of your rig a couple times which is fine.  Some of the lifted rigs will as well.  Most of the time green trails have more "pucker factor" due to the off-camber stuff than black trails.  You'll experience this on Trail 11, one of the Badge of Honor trails we will tackle.  You most likely will scratch your rig.  Some of the trails are tight through the brush.  The scratches will be clear coat scratches which can easily be waxed/polished/buffed out.  Except for soft top side window scratches.  Those scratches will add character and actually look kinda cool, LOL.

A couple last things, this is an all day trail ride so please expect to be on the trails until around 4:30PM.  Bring your lunch, snacks, drinks and TP in case it's needed.  Make sure you download the Jeep Badge of Honor app so you can check in and request your Badge of Honor for the appropriate trails (Trail 11, Crawler Ridge & Crawl Daddy).

Let us know if you have any questions.  This ride is going to be a blast!  I'm looking forward to it!

In 1.5 weeks we'll be on the trails!  I've made some updates to the original post so please be sure to read it.  Rob provided links to the paperwork above.  Save yourself some time and complete it in advance.  Let us know if you have any questions.  Thanks!

A 3.73 ratio, or 4.10 for that matter, won't cut it with 32-33" tires and the 42RLE automatic.  4.88 is the sweet spot

Hey, Donnie.  Just confirming that I won't be able to make it.  Replacing the steering components Wednesday and just replaced the radiator.  I need some time!  You guys enjoy!
