Hopefully they replaced the inner seal while the carrier was out.  Also, the parking brake shoes and hardware, while the axle was out.  Replacing the parking brake shoes with the axle in is a pain in the a@%!  Other than that, you should be really happy with the new gears!   Thumbs Up

Rich,
All the seals are being replaced along with new Wagner parking brake shoes.

A 3.73 ratio, or 4.10 for that matter, won't cut it with 32-33" tires and the 42RLE automatic.  4.88 is the sweet spot

I sent you a PM, but can add it here as well.  While the rear carrier is out it's a good time to rebuild the Trac Lok rear.  The clutch pack kit is cheap, $70 - $80, and this buys you additional time until you can add the lockers.  A little braking helps the limited slip grab more when you're off-road.  Not like a locker, but it can give you a little more traction. I had a limited slip rear and an Aussie in the front once and it worked great off-road.

Got the Jeep back from the shop on Friday with the 4.88 upgrades done. So far, the only thing I am complaining about is that my speedometer is off by 10mph. That will be corrected as soon as I get the new speedometer gear.

So, I just found out that either the build sheet for my Jeep is incorrect on the Jeep website, or the PO had gears replaced at some time in the past. What came out of the Jeep has a 4.10 marking. 41 teeth on the ring and 11 on the pinion.

That's a 3.73 ratio.  41 ( tooth ring gear) divided by 11 (tooth pinion gear) equals 3.727.

Only took a couple of months, but finally got the Metalcloak track bar installed yesterday. This took care of almost all of my front end wobble. I still have a very light wobble right between 57-60 mph.

Also installed a TC lowering kit to reduce the driveline grinding that I was feeling since installing the RC lift kit.

Had a set of 35x12.50x17 BFG KM2s installed earlier in the week. Then took the LJ on the NTJR up to Flagpole. Other than being LOUD on the highway, these tires performed very well.

Looks good. Any issues up at the NTJR?

Yes. Only on acceleration.

Took it apart after finding that my rear pinion and yoke had way too much play. The shop that did the gears back in May had used shins instead of the crush washer. My guess is not enough shims contributing to all this play.  Iím glad thereís no damage to the new ring and pinion.

Iíll get a new crush washer and then reinstall everything next weekend. Should I replace the bearings also? Both are Timkens and were installed in May. I did not see any damage to them.

If it were me, I'd replace the pinion bearings and races as long as you have the tools to do it easily (Press) If it's been making that noise for a while, I'd suspect there could be some 'distortion' to the bearings and races.
