We did it, folks! Jeep has successfully been redeemed from a sad TJ with a ruined from axle and snapped control arm brackets...

To a fully street-legal Jeep

Aaaaaaand my wife and I will see you all at S & S.

 Thumbs Up

Partially fixed a blocked cowl drain. Need to get my compressor back from a buddy to finish the job. Man that thing was clogged.

On Saturday I had to have one of these removed from my bumper.  She dented my gas tank skid so it needs to be replaced along with damaging the left upper control arm mount.  There's a little paint scuffing on the bumper.  We were going about 75 mph when traffic stopped hard and she didn't.  I spun around in a complete 360, when from the left land to the right lane and back to the left shoulder facing the correct way.  Not other cars were hit.  I thought for sure I was going to flip and/or hit other cars.  I dropped it off and OCD to have Scott fix it yesterday.  Hopefully I'll get it back before I go to the beach in 2 weeks.

Yes, everyone is OK.  She missed her best friends wedding though.  I felt bad for her.  Traffic stopped real hard and real fast, she made an honest mistake and was charged for it.  I stood on the brakes and was probably slowed to around 40mph but we think she hit me at still close to 70-75mph.  Cars in front of us were heading to the shoulders also to miss each other.  I thought the 18-wheeler just to the right behind me was going to get me.  I could hear his brakes chattering louder than my own tires - it was a horrendous sound!  I held mine locked down so I would slide and not get traction and maybe flip.

Frank that is a hilariously small amount of damage to your Jeep.  Funny how despite all the lack of insulation, rattling interior panels and cheap plastic bits, steel bumpers are all it really takes to hold up to a front or rear collision.  Glad you all are alright!  Those I-95 fender-bender collisions can be nasty.

Holy Cow - Frank I am glad it turned the way it did. That had to be one scary series of events.

Changed the oil in the JKU.  Removed the Evo Mfg. Oil pan skid since one of the tabs to mount the the trans skid was broken. I'll be looking for a more conventional skid plate system now. Also, installed the Fumoto drain valve I've had in the toolbox for years. Works great, just couldn't use it with the Evo skids.
Then hooked up the trailer and got a new pellet grill/smoker since the old one rusted out.

Added some coolant since I was running hot in traffic on Thursday. Then I checked other fluids and noticed that my shock tower mount on the driver side was loose and about to fall off. So I tightened that down.

Why are you losing coolant?? You might want to consider Redline's Waterwetter.  It will help keep temps in line even on the hottest days.

I donít know why I lost coolant. Yet. I need to see if I have a leaking hose. I recently replaced an upper hose, so it may not be tight enough.

Cleaned out the interior. Jammed up the dyson twice from all the crap my kids had in there.

No chips, popcorn, fries or nut shells left in the Jeep to tempt Yogi to come check it and the people sleeping inside of it out.

Once again my Bartact sear covers are one of my favorite mods. So easy to clean.

Just took the 3a for a ride and took my sister in law with me. It was a beautiful day for it.

Took the doors of and put on the new sunshade as black seats burn the kids legs.  Drive around and had a great day.
