When I poked road I found this place in Manassas rents them for $50 a day:

https://www.jlrtrailerrentals.com/

I have no experience with them, but the reviews seem good.
Just called them. Out of business. Guy said he's no longer renting trailers, but he'd sell me one. Not even going to consider buying a 20' rental trailer....

Bummer.  I agree on not wanting to buy a rental trailer.

Leonard is crap! Brian Love bought from them and the trailer fell apart shortly after purchase.
Big Tex is decent, if your willing to spend the money I'd recommend PJ trailer. They are top quality

Everyone says buy a PJ. BLAH Yes they are nice and well built, but that comes with a mad price tag, for what they want for them things you can have a Featherlite, all aluminum trailer. If you must spend crazy money, they are the Cadillac. My Dad's is 20 years old and still amazing. All it's every had to have is tires and it's finally due for it's first brake change.

That said not everyone uses one enough to spend mad money or they need to spend mad money to cover their needs.

Are there even any PJ dealers around NOVA? I found a good deal on a Big Tex in PA and am leaning that way. Although I'd still prefer to just rent one this time since storage is going to be a challenge.

Their dealers are listed on their site. There is one in Sykesville MD. Their basic car hauler is $3700. The buggy hauler is sweet but also $5000

I have used a Premier 18' Open Car Hauler over the last few years. It tows nicely and has held up well. I like the open deck over the full deck for a several reasons 1) it makes a nice platform for repairs & inspections, 2) it is about 300 lbs lighter giving a little better towing plus load capacity, and 3) it is easier to move around under the vehicle when securing the vehicle to the trailer (I am not as flexible as I once was).

I plan to purchase the 16' before Camp Heep and the Windrock trip. The problem is availability - In November 2018 they were going for $2,700 now the best price I can find is $3,100... I need to pull the purchase trigger soon...

Just one guys opinion

I bought this one in Warrenton and I have had no issues at all.  Just towed my Jeep all the way to MOAB and back without issue and I tow my Jeep everywhere I go.  Follows great and easy to load even when not connected to the truck.  Its not light like aluminum and the wood adds to it, but it tows great and its plenty wide.
