Looking to add an after market bumper and winch to my JKU.  Any recommendations on how to minimize the front end pitching downward?

Front end pitching downward....I assume you mean with the additional weight up front.

Couple ways to go.
1) the obvious, go aluminum with the bumper to minimize the added weight.
2) upgrade the front springs to carry the additional weight.

Adding spacers just levels the stance,  does nothing to combat the additional weight.

In reality, a winch weight 50-80# and a good light weight bumper about the same. The additional 100-160# really will not change the vehicle stance very much at all.

Just some thoughts from the cheap seats....

Gen Right I believe has  aluminum bumper option pair that with a winch rope instead of cable and a comp winch that is smaller you could easily drop 150 lbs off a standard bumper and winch set up. BUT it all comes with a price.

As is always the case, this is just one persons perspective.  I put my jeep on a diet and shed 500lbs as a result.  Moral to this story, one of the biggest killers of our Jeeps performance is weight.  Mine now crawls over obstacles better and sits 1/2" higher on the nose.  Granted, what I have is an LJ, but the same principles apply.  Bottom line, we should consider the weight of everything we add to our Jeeps.  It really does matter!

Try to check out 4wheelonline. They have aluminum bumpers like Genright and Rugged Ridge.
