I also want to get all the gunk out of the inside of the frame.  I'm thinking like a hose attached to shop vac.  Any suggestions would great ....

If you haven't already, you may wish to drill a 1/2" or 5/8" hole on the bottom of the frame at each control arm.  4 holes total.  This lets water drain out easily and helps to keep the frame drier inside.
Yes, I've done that already.  I just need to get more rust flakes out and some other muck.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
