I thought I'd do a quick primer for you new folks on how this, and most, forums work. First off, welcome!  Jeep Wave

POSTING PICTURES:

Choose a photo hosting site:

http://www.imgur.com  (my site of choice)

http://www.flickr.com

1. Register (it's free, registration is similar to registering here)
2. Upload (via the instructions on the home screen after registration) your photos from your computer, smart phone, or even from the nether regions of the internet.
3. Copy then paste the [ img]url link of picture[/ img] code for the picture you want into your post. Make sure the picture isn't gigantic. You can change this from the "edit" option at the top of the picture in question, an ideal picture size for forum use is 800x600, DON'T post pictures much larger than this....it's bad forum etiquette and just looks like crap.

PM me if you have further questions.

That seems to be the biggest question for less experienced computer users. Now let's move on to some other questions.

Another thing I've done as well, on pictures that will be forum/web only, I turn down the res on my camera, typically to VGA, still provides good detail, size but without the large file size.

I have no idea what kind of mileage I get, but it's good enough to get me to my next fill up.

Push pins are more permanent. I like the colored ones.

You may want to remove photobucket as they are no longer free and require $400/yr to embed images. postimage is another good free site that I use.
